Fuel / Technology Type:

The type of fuel and/or powertrain technology that is used to power a vehicle, such as:

  • Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
  • Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)
  • Hybric Electric Vehicle (HEV)
  • Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV)
  • Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
  • Propane

GVWR: Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

The sum of a vehicle's curb weight, cargo weight capacity and passenger weight capacity.

Chassis / Body Type:

The description of a vehicle's base frame or structural design which can also describe a vehicle's intended vocation(s)

Fuel Storage Capacity:

The maximum limit of a vehicle's onboard fuel or energy storage system for a specific fuel/technology type.

  • Gal = Gallons
  • kWh = kilowatt hours
  • DGE = Diesel Gallon Equivalent
  • GGE = Gasoline Gallon Equivalent

All Electric Range:

An estimate of the distance in miles that a vehicle can travel purely using electricity when starting with a 100% state-of-charge.

Connector Type:

Connector or 'Plug Types' vary by vehicle and charging station manufacturer. Consider what plug type your charger and vehicles may have when making purchase decisions to ensure compatability.

Base Price:

The lowest price a typical buyer can purchase a vehicle for, not including any optional or add-on features.

Production Level:

The manufacturer's vehicle availability for purchase on a commercial scale. (Production indicates commercial availability, and Pre-Production indicates that the commercial roll-out is under development.)

Year Company Established:

The year in which a specific manufacturer was founded.
